XP IM+ Crypto integrates cryptocurrency trading into the XP ecosystem. It transforms the existing wallet app into a full-fledged exchange platform. Focusing on accessibility, security, and user engagement, the goal is to enable seamless buying and selling of crypto assets like Bitcoin and Ethereum.
To validate the initiative, we conducted in-depth user research to assess market interest, gauge user knowledge levels, and justify the expansion of XP’s financial services.

Research and Discovering: Benchmarking
As part of the research phase, I conducted a comprehensive benchmarking analysis of leading cryptocurrency exchanges, including Mercado Bitcoin, Binance, Coinbase, and others.
This involved evaluating key features such as wallet types, order books, candlestick charts, market and limit orders, stop orders, available balances, fees, and transaction history. The goal was to identify industry standards, uncover gaps, and gather insights to inform the design and functionality of XP IM+ Crypto.
My deep understanding of the crypto market, as a crypto enthusiast, played a pivotal role in this process. I was able to provide valuable insights into user behavior, market trends, and the specific needs of both casual investors and experienced traders.
